Can the Open Source concept extend outside of source code? This Mail & Guardian Online article talks about applying this concept to the drug formulas and design blueprints. When I have time, I have a large rant brewing on the topic. I like the Open Source concept and I dislike Microsoft. But, I am writing this brief post while I am working through a problem with a piece of Open Source software that is both popular and faulty.
